Allison Binns was named head of environmental, social and governance and sustainable investing strategies at Angelo, Gordon & Co., a company spokeswoman confirmed in an email.
The position is new.
Ms. Binns will oversee the integration and standardization of ESG practices across the firm globally. She will report to Angelo Gordon’s co-CEOs Josh Baumgarten and Adam Schwartz.
Ms. Binns was executive director for global sustainability research at Morgan Stanley. A Morgan Stanley spokeswoman could not be immediately reached for additional information.
